As a Cloud Expert at Ivy Partners, you will:

• Act as a Cloud Expert consultant, helping product and engineering teams optimize cloud costs while maintaining performance, scalability, and service quality.

• Review cloud architectures and infrastructure choices, recommending improvements in resource sizing, capacity, and service selection.

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and product teams to assess technical options and support informed decisions.

• Support the implementation of optimization recommendations through continuous alignment and follow-up with product teams.

• Prepare presentations and communicate technical recommendations, trade-offs, and progress to stakeholders, including senior management.

• Participate in governance committees and cross-functional meetings, promoting accountability for cloud spending.

About you:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 8 years of professional experience, including 4 years working with cloud technologies.

• Strong hands-on background in cloud development, engineering, or architecture, preferably with Microsoft Azure. AWS experience is also valued.

• Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, capacity planning, and how technical choices affect cost and performance.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical teams and senior management.

• Comfortable challenging technical decisions constructively and providing practical recommendations.

• Motivated to move into a more consultative role while continuing to apply your technical cloud expertise.

• FinOps or financial management experience is a plus.
